Teen idol and “T.J. Hooker” star James Darren died at 88. On Monday, September 2, his son Jim Moret revealed the shocking news. The sad circumstances of Darren’s death were revealed online.

James Darren, who played the cute surfer in “Gidget” with Sandra Dee, died in his sleep at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Jim Moret, his son, said the beloved actor died peacefully at rest.
